Yet More Snow!!!

Snow Out Front Door

Snow Covered Street

I know that for all of you in snow country, we PNWers seem like big babies with the snow we're having. But while this is business as usual for a lot of you, it's completely, totally and utterly bizarre for us. I mean, sure, we get snow every year or so, for a day or so. But we're on, what, our 9th straight day of snow? And it's still snowing! It's a couple of feet deep now.

My driveway is buried. That's an SUV bumper, there.

Snow Covered Dining Area

My backyard dining area is buried.
Snow Covered Shed

My shed is buried.
Snow Covered Veg Garden

My veg garden is buried. Take note, there are foot high raised beds in there. Under there.

Madness, shear madness! My last set of photos of the snow were pretty, and I don't want to sound ungrateful, but honestly, I'm kinda ready for it to be gone. Maybe more than kinda. Where's my garden!???

Happy Holidays!

~Angela :-)

You're right - this is crazy! So unusual this early in the year and for this long. I've been taking pictures to share on my blog later. We're watching our outdoor dining table and chairs and thinking we should invite someone over for a picnic! A snow picnic! Stay warm and be safe, dear neighbor. ~Adrienne~

Gosh that is alot of snow. We would struggle to cope with that amount of snow here in the UK

Riddle me...jealous. This is hopefully the year for snow in Atlanta.

I know We are in the foothills in the un-incorporated part of Woodinville and it is a mess! I love how it looks but going anywhere is pretty tough! And we are going to get more you know-this week and next so hang on it's gonna be a bumpy ride my friend!
~Tam~:)

Barbara:

Oh Angela, I feel your pain - or at least a little bit of it. In 1977 we had 6 inches 3 days before Thanksgiving - my first in Portland after moving from Minneapolis to escape winter. It only lasted a few days, thank goodness.

I'm sending warm thoughts to the northern states. Alabama finally got cold weather - it was supposed to be a low of 18 last night. I'm sure it was close if not actually there. But we will be warming up again in a few days, at least for a little while. We had tons of rain (12" at least) so at least we were spared the snow in my area.

Dearest Angela (Angel!)

Please send me some snow!!! here in cold??? Scandinavia we have non. Today it has beeen sunny!

I wish you a lovely Christmas! Love Annie

Wow! We had about 2 inches of snow a few weeks ago, here in the north of the England. It was great- I even got the skis out.
I do wish the UK had more snow, but I don't think I do cope with that amount!
It does look lovely and magical though!
Best Wishes, Helen

I would be thinking the same thing if I were you. You poor thing! I hope you all get a break soon so you can get a chance to dig out. Merry White Christmas!

Cindy

OK...that is some serious snow. We got a bit here...and now it's a big frozen slush mess. I'd love to have snow like yours...I know it's not very practical, what with all of the rushing around for holidays and such, but man I just love the white fluffy stuff! (really!!)

Snow is not foreign to us here in Idaho, but the amounts we've received so early in the season may be a record.
Stay inside and stay warm. This too shall pass.

Mo:

Oh, it's so beautiful! A real White Christmas, I am truly jealous.

Angela,

So pretty to look at ( briefly) and such a pain to shovel and to drive in. Ours is now all gray and nasty looking and we are going to have rain tomorrow to turn it into frozen brown slush...not so pretty for Christmas.

Happy Holidays to you and your family; looking forward to lots of posts in '09.

Janet

Angela

I am with you--the snow melted yesterday and I felt relieved, after awhile I want it to go away! Enjoy your holidays!

Angela! That's crazy amounts of snow!
I hope you don't have to go anywhere and can safe and warm inside for awhile.

We usually get ice here, too. A few inches of snow occassionally, but nothing major. It is cold and grey, though and I'm ready for the sun to come back.

Take care.
Kimberly :)

It is so pretty but I know what you mean about getting sick of it real fast.

It does look beautiful Angela. My son has been at the pool all day ! Your photos seem like they come from another planet, albeit a very beautiful one.
I hope you have a lovely day tomorrow.

Wow, I cannot believe how much snow you got, Angela!! You are buried, meanwhile we were having spring-like weather. Yuck!! I would love a little bit of that snow.
